A mobile app created to assist people in discovering the ideal dining spot while considering the tastes of every group member.
Simmer List's founder asked our team to develop a new design system, seamless wireframe, and an enhanced user experience for the app's primary feature. The key functionality of Simmer List employs Natural Language or AI to search and filter the ideal dining spot for your group.

Our group faced a challenging task. The initial typeface was not user-friendly, the primary color scheme featured a red that suggested a mistake, and the general appearance felt antiquated.

I’m vegan so good vegan options is the number one thing, then location, and I like to see photos of what it looks like to see if it has a nice vibe
When looking for specific information or content on restaurant details, I look for menu, opening hours, location, pictures and if they take reservations.
It would be ideal if I could state my party members and be able to match their availability with restaurant schedule and table availability, and also restaurant criteria (type of food, restrictions)

Lisa Simm is a 30 year old female, who loves eating out with friends and family. She and her friends live busy lives with work/school and have specific dietary restrictions. She is unfamiliar with AI or Natural Language but would love to use it if it helps with finding the perfect place to eat with her friends.

Word of mouth
User Stories is a great strategy to create scenarios of users. By doing, the designer is able to see the step by step process into the main red routes of a product. The following stories shows the user searching for a place to eat with another person.
Design
The main request from the stakeholder was to create fluid experience for the user when searching for a restaurant to eat with their friends. Wireframes provide an efficient blue print of the experience before inputing any kind aesthetic elements.
Refine
Creating a design kit provides a consistent aesthetic to the overall product. By showcasing the lo-fi wireframes and implementing the design kit to the stakeholder, we are able submit the product for the final critiques

User Flow allows us to visualize the main red route for the user. This is a necessary step before creating the lo-fi wireframes.

Lastly, several enhancements have been made to the filter page for a better user experience. A dropdown menu for choosing the date and time of availability, along with a search feature for locating specific friends to include in the filter.
Final Food for Thought
In general, the stakeholder was quite satisfied with the design we developed for them. We provided a clear-cut wireframe, a contemporary style, and a seamless experience for the user. Given the chance to further work on this project, I'd be eager to introduce the profile personalization feature for users. This would assist the user and their friends in searching for the ideal restaurant based on their profile preferences. Moreover, I'd be excited to track the progress of this app by analyzing its data and user engagement rate.
